Cooling towers developed by the University of Arizona Environmental Research laboratory provide cool air to visitors both indoors and outdoors. The cooling towers utilize natural evaporation to provide cooling. Building footprint reduced after moving some functions outdoors. Material use and money were saved. Passive solar energy storage walls, photovoltaics, and native landscaping were also included.
